Жыл бұрынAston Villa today welcomed Birmingham City Council’s decision to grant planning permission for phase one of the Club’s redevelopment and expansion of Villa Park.
The project will increase the stadium’s capacity to over 50,000, allowing Villa Park to host major international tournaments and enable its return to the world stage.

It's a disgrace our greatest ever manager has no recognition at Villa Park, the new stand has to be the Ron Saunders Stand.

There's nothing better than the walk up to Villa Park and (if you have time) a walk around the stadium. When this stand goes up, Villa will have (if it's not already) the most unique, beautiful stadium in British football...when the new Witton Lane is built it will be a 60k-plus cathedral. Just a suggestion: put some stained glass and mosaics on the new stand (s).

If I were asked to rename the redeveloped North Stand, I would suggest George Ramsay Stand. He was not only the man who established Villa, but the Football League as well. It'll be a fitting belated honour for him.

I am also a Villa Fan... Be better to build the same concept of the new Tottenham Stadium, Building the New North Stand to the outer limits of the North Stand Car and the club shop. This would have a complete new infrastructure, New Club facilities, Transport links and with Four new stands (Villa Park Stadium) with Capacity of 65,00+. Villa Park management in very humble opinion have not really thought this planned update very clearly. However it's there money and investment..... Please I like any replies to my plan and also the Villa Management... Best Regards. Bazz. PS Merry Christmas and A Happy 2023. COME ON THE VILLA.....

I wouldn't build a complete new stadium as that would require £600m plus. Spending £110m on New North Stand and Villa Live venue was always going to get the green light due to it all helping the local community too and the venues out of season use. The land at VP is a lot wider on the north stand end but the Holte won't be touched so there's no point in moving the whole things towards the witton end. Only issues for further expansion are the corner where the Holte meets the Trinity as the road shape causes an uneven end to the stand but a larger screen and more boxes would sort that out. Witton Lane stand has a road behind but a lot of space. The road could potentially be moved back 3 meters or so to give a bigger stand.

Last time I was at villa Crystal Palace beat us in an fa cup semi final mid 90s 😕 it looks little like our new stand at anfield, well the bricks look the same 😂

@@Prehistorickingdom330 if you went on a coach you will have been where the cars are parked after the flyby crosses the bridge and under the railway ,this corner of the ground is where the away fans go in at the Doug Ellis stand the stand you see just to the left of what will be the new north stand

Im not a fan looks more like a shopping centre than a football ground and its turning villa park into another boring modern bowl. Also not a fan of stands named after people its tacky just call it the witton end or north stand.

The Mickey mouse expansion has been suspended probably due to the majority Muslim community complaints in their area. I believe Aston has a 3 %white population. Time for villa to move to an English speaking area such as Sutton Coldfield or Cornwall.
