That second half performance in particular was appalling. They went right back to the horrendous days of Gerrard. They looked clueless, couldn't put two passes together most of the time and they simply didn't compete. We hardly won a tackle anywhere on the pitch. How I never had a heart attack shouting at the telly tonight I'll never know. It's like we went 2-0 up and everyone said, "OK that's job done. Let's go home." I hope Unai gives a few of them a roasting behind the scenes.

We lacked the Experience to make it through the match...

Have to recognise situations and adapt in games. you could see it happening a mile off after the first half when we lost a foot hold in the game and they were getting in behind at 2-0. Without Torres and kamara we cant break the high press well, lenglet Carlos and Dendonker were so poor on the ball so adapt to the team we have on the pitch. McGinn being one of our best ball players sitting up front made no sense to me, if were lacking ball players keep him in the midfield. 2-0 away from home with bad away form you recognise that united are only having success over the top, drop back 5 yards as a team and put 5 in the midfield, give yourself a breather for 10-15 mins and go for the third on the counter with baily and diabys pace over the top. I think we were too stubborn and forgot we had alot of players out today injured. I can't be mad with the season we have had but to challenge for the league as a club without the star talent you have to be clever about things.

This is what i have been saying. Villa dont possess the necessary consistency to be contenders for the whole season. In this case, after leading by 2 goals, they allowed United to stage a comeback. A title contender with knowhow and experience like City or Liverpool, would normally see out the game. If Villa can finish in 4th place, it would be the happiest for the fans and club. It would be a season well done.

I know we had suspensions, but giving so much respect to a horrible United team is crazy… that was our game to win. What a loss, we proved we could take the game to them before stopping any football that second half. Wow.

Very poor day at the office for everyone. Thought we were brilliant until the 2nd goal then we sat back and gave them the impetus to come at us, thought Emery should've changed it sooner to turn the tide maybe. Emery is finding out who of his players has the mentality when the pressure is truly on. Villa after 30 minutes were 2-0 up with around 60% possession. The Villa got sloppy and complacent and then lacked the fortitude to turn it around when the momentum was against them. My worry is not the result, but the manner of the performance which makes me concerned this is where Villa start to fall away.
